Body type influences how you respond to diet and training. Understand your body type in order to plan your muscle building training and diet program.
An ectomorph is your typical bean pole like individual. Ecto’s have a light build with smaller joints and lean muscle. Usually ectomorph’s have longer/thinner limbs with stringy muscles. Shoulders tend to be thin with very little width.

Ectomorphs find it very difficult to gain weight. They have a fast metabolism which allows their bodies to burn calories at a rapid pace. Ecto’s need a amount of calories in order to gain weight. Workouts should be brief and intense focusing on the biggest muscle groups on the body. I recommend the use of supplements to aide muscle growth. Ectomorphs should eat before bed to prevent muscle catabolism during the night. Be careful because ecto’s lose fat easily which makes going back to lean muscle. MESOMORPH –MY BODY TYPE
A mesomorph has a larger bone structure, large muscles and is naturally athletic. Mesomorphs are the ideal body type for bodybuilding. They have to monitor their carb intake because they gain and lose weight easily. They truly are the best body type for bodybuilding and strength training.

Gains fat more easily than ectomorphs
When it comes to weight training mesomorphs gain the fastest. Beginners usually see gains very quickly. The downside to mesomorphs is they gain fat more easily than ectomorphs. Weight training and cardio are crucial for meso’s because they gain weight a lot faster than ecto’s. Get IN THE GYM OR YOU WILL GET LOVE HANDLES!!!
The endomorph body type is solid and generally soft. Endomorphs gain fat faster than the other body types. Endo’s usually have a short build with thick arms and legs. Their lower legs are very strong. They are usually strong all around. Endomorphs find they are naturally strong in leg exercises like the squat.

Gaining weight is very easy for endomorphs. However, that weight is usually fat and not muscle. CARDIO IS A MUST! Don’t slack on your cardio or you will continue to gain fat. Supplements usually are not needed just keep your protein intake up.
